Dietitian
The Dietitian provides nutrition information, guidance and support to help you feel your best. With individuals or groups, the dietitian translates complex scientific evidence into practical solutions to promote health for all ages. Nutrition programs are tailored to manage special health conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, allergies and weight control.
Social Worker
Our Social Worker provides counselling services for life transitions, chronic disease management, relationship difficulties, grief, loss and trauma. Our Social Workers also coordinate, advocate, case manage and refer you and your family to health and social services agencies in the community.
Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses
The Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses provide you with education and support, as well as help with screening, diagnostic testing, and administering treatments as ordered and patient care follow-up.
Family Physicians
Provide primary patient care at the Family Health Team as well as 24-hour emergency room coverage, in-patient and acute and long-term care services at the North Shore Health Network - Blind River Site.
Nurse Practitioner
The Nurse Practitioner can conduct physical examinations, perform assessments such as pap tests, breast exams, prenatal care, elder care and well-baby check-ups, diagnose and treat acute illnesses, chronic diseases, infections and injuries.
The NP can order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests such as x-rays, ultrasounds and blood work, prescribe a broad range of medications and refer to specialists.
